Two-term Waldo County Judge of Probate Susan Longley (D-Liberty) is the anticipated winner of a third term, beating former probate judge Randy Mailloux (R-Belfast) in what was a hotly-contested race. With results from 24 of 26 towns (Searsmont and Troy have not reported) Longley is ahead by 1,900 votes, 10,565 to 8,666. The Republican Journal has reported a final tally of 11,216 to 9,255.
