Girls Soccer: Medomak Valley prevails in homecoming games vs. Lincoln Academy
It was a nice fall day for homecoming 2024 at Medomak Valley vs. Lincoln Academy.
The JV girls game started out with a bang, they quickly took the lead about halfway through the first half off a goal from Anna Cheesman assisted by Eva Vannay.
About five minutes later, Julia Hynd scored off a pass from Remi Winchenbach giving MVHS the lead of 2 to 0.
About two minutes later, Julia Hynd scored again from a pass from Alanna Richards giving Medomak a 3 to 0 lead and this score lasted the rest of the game and Medomak Won 3 to 0.
Lilly Hills in goald had swven saves for Medomak.
Great defense was played by Jennika Schumann, Sky Flint, Felicity Griffin and Olivia Campbell.
The Varsity girls soccer team took to the field a few hours later and battled in a great game against Lincoln Academy.
The midfield worked hard for Medomak, with lots of hard work from Haylee Chandler, Kytana Williamson, Summer Staples and Rachel Richardson. The first half ended scroless. Medomak came out in the 2nd half and dominated, keeping the ball in their end well over 70% of the time. Lots of pressure from the midfield and forwards, Scarlett Flint and Grace Townsend, with repeated shots, Flint and Townsend finally connected with a pass from Flint to Townsend where Townsend had to chest it to her feet and pass the ball low and away from the LA goalies giving Medomak the lead 1 to 0 (Time 24:05).
This was the only goal scored, sealing the victory for Medomak.
Great defense was played by Haley Blake, Raches Barbour, Payton Eaton and Grace Havener.
