MoJO Jazz performs at Beech Hill Preserve, July 8
ROCKPORT — Coastal Mountains Land Trust’s Arts on the Hill program brings Mondaynite Jazz Orchestra (aka MoJO) to Beech Hill Preserve on Monday, July 8, at 6 p.m., as part of the free summer concert series.
Mondaynite Jazz Orchestra is an extraordinary 18-piece Midcoast-based big band that plays modern as well as traditional jazz, including Latin, swing, blues, and funk. The band derives its name from their practice schedule: Monday nights, “and they certainly have their mojo workin’,” said CMLT, in a news release.
“Plan to bring a picnic, relax and enjoy the spectacular view…unless you’re up dancing to the beat,” said CMLT.
All Arts on the Hill performances are free and open to all ages but please leave your dogs at home.
Arts on the Hill is made by possible and presented by sponsors Bangor Savings Bank, Camden Coast Real Estate, Cold Mountain Builders, and First National Bank.
Coastal Mountains Land Trust has worked since 1986 to permanently conserve land to benefit the natural and human communities of the western Penobscot Bay. The Land Trust has protected over 13,000 acres, offering 55 miles of trails for public recreation.
Beech Hill Preserve is a 295-acre conservation property, managed for the complementary purposes of maintaining its scenic beauty, historic value, grassland bird habitat, and organic blueberry production.
