AARP Foundation seeks volunteer tax aides for new Lincolnville site

LINCOLNVILLE — AARP Foundation Tax Aide is establishing a new site at the Lincolnville Community Library for 2024. In preparation, the organization is looking for compassionate and friendly people to join its volunteer team.
“We will provide the training and support to help you learn new skills, and you will get a great feeling helping those in need,” said Lincolnville Community Library news release. “Our volunteers come from a variety of industries and span from retirees to college students.”
Susan Fockler, local coordinator, will be at the library on Wednesday, Nov. 1, at 6:30 p.m., to speak about the program and answer questions. You do not need to be an AARP member to volunteer or to have your tax return prepared in the program.
“Please join us for tea and cookies on November 1 at 6:30 to find out about this important program and how you can help your friends and neighbors,” said the release.
