Maine Craft Weekend comes to Belfast, Oct. 6 - 7
BELFAST — Belfast is one of six featured cities in the Annual Maine Craft Weekend, October 6 and 7, 2023. Belfast’s events will include live demonstrations, DIY workshops, classes, hands-on help, shopping for locally made goods, live music, food, and much more.
Participating makers are:
• Belfast Clay Studio is offering pottery demonstrations both Saturday and Sunday. Stop in to see someone at the wheel and maybe try it yourself.
• Belfast Fiberarts is offering demonstrations and hands-on help with weaving, fiber dying, and glass bead making. They will take over the courtyard at the Mall on High with their activities and have a few treats on hand as well.
• Fiddlehead Artisan Supply is offering classes in their new classroom (registration required). They also offer all the supplies you will need after being inspired by what experience during the weekend!
• Heavenly Yarns is offering knitting demonstrations and hands-on help all weekend long.
• Mainely Gallery & Studio is offering Stained Glass and Torchwork Demonstrations. You can also find the work of dozens of local artists displayed in their studio and learn more about their work.
• Marshall Wharf Brewing is hosting their 4th Annual Beer Bash! This ticketed event will feature live music all day while you enjoy craft beer made locally.
• Our Town Belfast would like to make sure you explore our Sit Down Belfast and Tiny Doors of Belfast design projects as you walk around.
• The Grasshopper Shop has teamed up with a local artisan, Ashley Alice Studio’s to feature her handmade wood and paper earrings.
• The United Farmers Market offers 70+ makers offering food, home goods, jewelry, ceramics, flowers, fabrics, and so much more!
• Toko is offering space to local makers to sell their goods in a pop-up style space in their store on Main Street.
• Waterfall Arts has a full day of programming from an Art Together Morning to Ceramics to a pop-up market and much more. Check out their newly installed “Here is Magic” mural project when you visit them.
