Waldo County Dental Care receives $7,500 from Charitable Foundation
BELFAST — Waldo County Dental Care (WCDC) has received a $7,500 grant from Bank of America Charitable Foundation, Inc. The funds will be used support staff time to deliver preventative, restorative and emergency dental care to patients.
Bank of America Charitable Foundation focuses on, among other things, programs and organizations that work to address the economic and social conditions that influence family stability and health access, according to a news release.
“As the only safety net dental clinic in Waldo County, WCDC provides critically needed oral health care to low income, uninsured children and adults in Waldo County,” said the release..
Dental services provided by WCDC include cleanings, x-rays, fluoride treatments, sealants, fillings and extractions. In some cases, dentures are offered, although additional fees may apply.
