Knox County is forecasted to receive approximately 5 - 8 inches of snow on Saturday, March 4, 2023. Some forecasts predict that the storm will begin around 3 a.m., and will last through the afternoon. 

In light of this forecast, organizations have begun closing or postponing services.

Mid-Coast Solid Waste Transfer Station in Rockport will be closed ALL DAY Saturday, March 4.  The facility will re-open on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at 8 a.m.

Due to the forecast of  inclement weather the Warren Transfer Station will be closed tomorrow March 4.

Due to the forecast of inclement weather, the St. George Transfer Station will be closed Saturday, March 4, 2023.

Walk-in care practices associated with Pen Bay Medical Center and Waldo County General Hospital will be closed Saturday, March 4

Due to the incoming storm the Rockland transfer station will be closed Saturday 3/4/23. It will reopen Tuesday 3/7/23. 

The Rockland Public Library will be closed Saturday, March 4.

Due to inclement weather, all City of Belfast non-emergency facilities, this includes the Belfast Transfer Station and the Belfast Free Library, will be closed Saturday, March 4, 2023.
