Camden Rotary Club extends grant applications to March 19
CAMDEN — The Camden Rotary Club Foundation has extended the deadline for grant applications from February 28 to March 19.
Nonprofit 501(c)3 organizations that serve people in Knox County and Lincolnville are eligible to apply for grant awards, which will be announced in May.
The club will award $5,000 for a project or program serving youth under the age of 20. Eight additional grants include one $10,000 large grant, two large grants of $5,000 each, and five small grants of $1,000 each.
Awards will go to organizations that (1) promote local economic and workforce development through services such as child and elder care or (2) provide direct help to people in need in the areas of food and/or heating assistance.
Previous recipients of Large Grants must wait three years to re-apply, and Small Grant recipients must wait two years to re-apply. The foundation prefers to fund projects for which a grant award would cover a sizable portion of a project's total cost. Also, applicants must demonstrate the capacity and readiness to start this year on the project for which it is seeking funding.
Complete details and application forms are available on the grants page of the club's website: camdenrotary.org.
