Dalton A. Malmstrom, II, obituary
PALERMO — Dalton Arthur Malmstrom, II, age 50, died suddenly August 29, 2021.
Dalton was born in Rockland, Maine on February 23, 1971 to Dalton Malmstrom, Sr. and Evelyn Daniello.
Dalton’s passions were singing, playing guitar, traveling, spending time with his family and friends and helping others. He had a great sense of humor and loved making people laugh. He was a regular donor to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and the American Cancer Society. He had a heart of gold, he was giving, kind, compassionate, protective and loved everyone, especially his family.
Dalton is survived by his daughter, Amanda Gustafson and three grandsons, Andrew, Abel and Jackson; seven siblings, Anita Malmstrom of Palermo, Glenda Malmstrom and her fiancé Richard Demass of Nobleboro, Ericka Malmstrom and her fiancé Jason Dorr of Westbrook, Virginia Farnham and her husband Randall of Vinalhaven, Clara Malmstrom of Rockland, Lisa Daniello of Portland, Eric Malmstrom of Rochester, Minnesota; the mother of his daughter, Laverne Fogg; his former wife, Barbie Dinsmore; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents; two great-nephews, Dillon Demass and Jorge “Dalton” Canas; his long time love, Jean Puckett; his grandparents, and several aunts and uncles.
Family and friends are invited to visit Friday, September 10, 2021, from 2 to 4 p.m., at Burpee, Carpenter & Hutchins Funeral Home, 110 Limerock St., Rockland.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, September 15, 2021, at 11 a.m., at Achorn Cemetery, Rockland.
