Cynthia A. Lachance, obituary
ROCKLAND — Cynthia A. “Cindi” Lachance, 67, died surrounded by her loving family, after a courageous battle with cancer, her second one, 18 years after she originally beat it. She passed away on Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at the Sussman Hospice House in Rockport.
Born in Camp Kilmer, New Jersey, February 25, 1954, she was the daughter of George and Lois Tracy Talbot.
Cindi was a quiet and reserved person who never liked to be in the spotlight. She spent many years helping others, working as an Endoscopy Technician at Pen Bay Medical Center for over 30 years. She loved her job and her co-workers and greatly enjoyed going to dinner with them over the years.
She was a talented crafter, making beautiful baskets and cut-glass art.
She was extremely devoted to her husband, Scott A. Lachance. Together they enjoyed going to the stock-car races. When they were both ill, they were consumed with taking care of each other. She was devastated when Scott passed away in 2019.
Following the passing of her beloved husband, her grandchildren were the light of her life. Spending time with them were some of the happiest moments she had. She will be sadly missed by all who loved her.
Predeceased by her parents; her father-in-law,; Roger Lachance, and her beloved husband; Cindi is survived by her sons, Macho Carballo and his partner Kim Tilton, and their children, Griffin, Daxton and Mollie Mae Rose, all of Rockland; Todd Carballo and his wife Jessica of Spruce Head, and their children, Ethan, Aaliyah, Olivia and Katie, and Todd’s grandchildren, Jordan, Nolan, Natalia, Rylan, Benjamin and Kayden; her siblings, George “Skip” Talbot and his wife Nancy of Hartford, Conecticut, David Talbot and his wife Donna of Thomaston, Carol Talbot and her partner Therman of Thomaston, and Karen Talbot Rytky and her husband Frank of Cushing; her mother-in-law, Janice Lachance; a former daughter-in-law, Katie, who called her “Nana”; as well as several cousins, nieces and nephews.
