Letter to the editor: Local Vietnam play draws $800 in donations
A sincere thank you to the Camden Public Library and to the community for their support for Freddie’s, a musical focusing on Vietnam Veterans, ten years after the war.
The cast and the musicians, Jacob Corney, Annabel Parker, Joanie Mitchell, Glen Sargent, Dan Gilbert, Kim Murphy, and Rebekah Schade were delighted with the audience’s enthusiastic appreciation and the standing ovation received at the end.
Donations for the benefit totaled just over $800. People wanting to contribute can make checks payable to the charity of their choice: Garry Owen House; Camp Kiev Wav us; Travis Mills Foundation.
Send checks to Kerry Chisolm at 55 South Shore Drive, Owls Head, ME 04854.
A final thank you to Tim Hoffman, Vets on the Water, for his help. And yes, we are hoping to bring you a full production soon. We’ll keep you posted.
Sincerely,
Ruth Graham
