The Waldo is partnering with Hearty Roots to bring the 2023 Women’s Adventure Film Tour to Waldoboro on Sunday, March 12th at 4pm. The Women’s Adventure Film Tour is a celebration of inspiring women around the world who are doing extraordinary things in the name of adventure. Our partner for this presentation, Hearty Roots, fosters resilience in midcoast youth through a fusion of social-emotional and outdoor adventure programming. This incredible film tour is aimed to be enjoyed by women, children, and men of all ages.

Every year, a selection of unique films is carefully chosen to show awesome women achieving their personally adventurous goals. Being adventurous doesn't always have to mean being the fastest, going the highest, or doing the most extreme things. Adventure for most is stepping outside our comfort zone and climbing our own personal Everest. The films showcase real stories about women from a variety of cultures and sports around the world. 

Based out of Australia, the Women’s Adventure Film Tour has now successfully grown globally, with screenings across Australia, New Zealand, Canada, United Kingdom, Switzerland, Italy, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, India, the United States and more.

Tickets are available at the box office starting at 3:30pm the day of the show. Concessions will be available for purchase. Free parking is available on Main St. and School St.
