CAMDEN, ME, April 27, 2023 – Press Release – Bay View Collection, a small group of distinctive, luxury boutique hotels in Camden and Rockport, Maine has recently expanded its management team. 

We are pleased to announce the hiring of Sarah McLean as the General Manager of the all new Rockport Harbor Hotel, opening later this summer. Sarah’s role will be to provide strong on-the-ground leadership, guidance, support and help oversee daily hotel operations, as well as assist Kerry McCormick, our Food & Beverage Director, with managing the two restaurant and bar venues at the highly anticipated, luxury boutique hotel. This executive level position will be a champion of our company culture, leading by example and inspiring all staff to perform at their very best, providing our guests with an exceptional and memorable experience. 

As a community-minded entrepreneur, Sarah is well known locally as a small business owner and board member for several organizations, including past board chair of the Penobscot Bay Regional Chamber of Commerce. She is a graduate of both Johnson & Wales and Colorado State Universities with an Associate’s and a Bachelor of Science degree in Resort & Restaurant Management. In addition, she is a recent graduate of Southern New Hampshire University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. Sarah has had a connection to hospitality all her life and providing top-notch customer service is a passion. Before her twenty years of customer service in the packing and shipping industry, Sarah spent her previous years at work in the hospitality business within resorts and restaurants up and down the east coast, finally settling home in Midcoast Maine in 2000. When she is not planning events, checking on guests, or serving up specialty cocktails, Sarah can be found on the sidelines of a softball game, a soccer match, or a gymnastics meet supporting her three children.

Rockport Harbor Hotel is excited to begin accepting reservations for the 2023 summer/fall season beginning September 1st. Although we anticipate soft opening sooner than September 1st, we are not able to guarantee any earlier reservations at this time. Our initial opening will include most of our suites and studios and our lobby bar & restaurant, Lime & Ice. Our rooftop bar & restaurant, Atrium, is scheduled to open later this Fall.
