Voters go to the polls Nov. 5 to consider five statewide ballot questions, and various individual municipal warrant articles. Following are election previews and recent issue stories for Knox and Waldo counties, as well as a rundown of the bond issues voters across the state are being asked to decide.

BELFAST — The following cases were closed in Waldo County Unified Court 9-15.
Jonathan G. Dugg, 27, of Rutland, Massachusetts, domestic violence assault in Unity Sept. 9, 2018, $500 fine.

Belfast Police beat
BELFAST — Belfast Police reported issuing 11 traffic citations between April 9-14. Of the 11 traffic infractions, six were issued for failure to register a vehicle, two for inspection sticker violations, and one citation each for failure to stop at a stop sign, operating with an expired license, and using a handheld device while operating a vehicle. BELFAST — In addition to issuing one traffic citation unrelated to additional charges, the Waldo County Sheriff’s Department reported the following activity Feb. 20 - April 6.
An arrest does not constitute a conviction, and those charged are considered innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law. Juveniles age 17-or-younger are not named.
