ROCKLAND — A Warren man was arrested by the Knox County Sheriff’s Office March 21 and charged with allegedly assaulting a girl.

Bryan Parreault, 33, was charged with two counts of Class A gross sexual assault and transported to the Knox County Jail.

Police said that the victim is younger than 14 years old.

Parreault made his initial appearance on Friday afternoon, March 22, in Knox County Court where Judge Tracy Gorham set bail at $20,000 cash.

According to the affidavit filed in court by the Knox County Sheriff’s Office, the alleged assaults occurred in February in Warren. The investigation confirmed multiple text messages, sexual in nature, and photographs including nude shots between Parreault and the victim.

Parreault denied any inappropriate relationship with the victim and told police that the messages had been manipulated to make them look like him. He finally admitted that he did have a relationship with the victim, but only kissed her.

He will be on supervised release after he released from jail and cannot have any contact with children under the age of 18 and is allowed only Zoom and phone contact with his own children.

Parreault will appear in court again on May 9 for a dispositional conference.
