To the Editor:

If you live in Rockland, please vote Lisa Westkaemper for City Council on November 7th. Here is a candidate who listens, who cares, who is thoughtful and articulate. I can say this because I have come to know Lisa well as a member of the group restoring the birthplace of Edna St.Vincent Millay on Broadway. We hope to see this as an educational and historical center for Rockland and beyond, and I can tell you it would not happen without Lisa. She brings business experience, nonprofit experience, and life experience to the task at hand.

Lisa is from Austin, Texas, where she was a leader in the theater arts scene in that city and in Justin, Texas, where she was elected to the City Council. She has also taught at a Texas university where a student rated her "awesome." Lisa is committed to the Rockland community, and the city needs her intelligent leadership.
