Rockland Police Department to help deliver Meals on Wheels each month
ROCKLAND — The Rockland Police Department is teaming up with Making Community Happen (MCH) by participating in their community based program Meals on Wheels.
MCH is a nonprofit organization that has a dedicated team of service professionals, drivers, nutritionist, cooks, volunteers, community partners and donors committed to helping older adults and individuals with disabilities live independently by assisting them with access to housing, food, transportation and other vital services.
Officers from the Rockland Police Department will be helping MCH every third Tuesday of each month by loading up boxes of meals and delivering them in hand to locations around Rockland, according to the RPD Facebook page.
