MSW 2016 Online-Hybrid cohort offered at the University of Maine Hutchinson Center
BELFAST — A new online-hybrid MSW cohort will be starting at the University of Maine Hutchinson Center for the fall 2016. Applications are being accepted on a rolling admissions basis into this cohort program.
Student's enrolled in this online-hybrid program will participate in courses taught by faculty from the University of Maine School of Social Work. Using state-of-the-art learning management system, students will engage in most classes without the need to be online on a particular day or at a particular time. To maximize student-faculty connections, students will meet together at the Hutchinson Center for two Saturdays each semester. The field practicum may be completed at qualifying organizations geographically convenient to students.
At the University of Maine School of Social Work, students are prepared to become proficient and ethical social work professionals committed to social change in a variety of organizations, specializations, and professional roles. Beginning in 1991, the MSW Program has received continuous accreditation by the Council on Social Work Education and was reaccredited in 2012. UMaine MSW graduates go on to serve as social work clinicians, program planners, administrators, and community change agents in a wide range of public and private settings and systems.
