I-95 paving work between Waterville and Pittsfield to begin May 2
KENNEBEC and SOMERSET COUNTIES — The Maine Department of Transportation will be doing paving work and making other safety improvements along I-95 between Waterville and Pittsfield. This work will impact approximately 18 miles of the interstate both the northbound and southbound sides between the area near Exit 127 in Waterville and the Johnson Flat Road overpass in Pittsfield.
According to MDOT, in a news release, work is scheduled to begin on May 2, 2022. Daytime lane closures are allowed between May 2 and June 24. After June 24, the contractor is allowed nighttime lane closures through Labor Day. After Labor Day, daytime lane closures will be allowed again. All work is scheduled to be finished on November 18.
The contractor on this project is Northeast Paving. The contract amount is $11,819,411.
