ROCKPORT — The enrollment period for Affordable Care Act health insurance closed for most people on February 15. However, some individuals may still be eligible to enroll based on specific circumstances. Others who have not enrolled may be exempt from tax penalties if they meet certain standards.

The Maine Lobstermen's Association Health Insurance Navigator will be available at the Maine Fishermen's Forum, held at the Samoset Resort in Rockport March 6 and 7.

The Navigator will answer questions related to health insurance enrollment, special enrollment periods, and guidance with exemptions relating to health insurance coverage.

Anyone involved in Maine's commercial fisheries is urged to visit the Maine Lobstermen's Association booth at the event for more information, according to a news release.
