Mr. and Mrs. Scott Esancy, of Appleton, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Samantha Esancy, to Chaz Guthrie, son of Ms. Terri Dillard, of University Place, Washington. 

Ms. Esancy is a graduate of the University of Maine Farmington and is a teacher in the Augusta School District.  Mr. Guthrie is a graduate of the University of Southern Maine and is a systems technician at Lyman Morse in Thomaston.

A May 2020 wedding is planned.
