Rockland Public Library atrium work begins, closures expected
ROCKLAND — Work on the Rockland Public Library atrium has begun and earlier this week, the lower sections of the glass were replaced with new, more energy-efficient glass. The next step will involve installing the new glass in the ceiling. This will entail considerable staging in the parking lot area and a large crane.
The building will be closed to the public on the days when this work is taking place.
“It's very likely, weather prediction holding, that the Library will be closed to the public next Wednesday, June 12,” said RPL, in a news release.
The Library hopes to reopen on Thursday, June 13, at 10 a.m., but will update the public if this changes.
The Rockland Public Library is located at 80 Union St. FMI: call 594-0310.
