Founded in 1866, Allen Insurance and Financial is an employee-owned, community-minded company, offering insurance and financial planning services to people in Maine and around the world. We have offices in Rockland, Camden, Belfast, Waterville and Southwest Harbor, where we operate as L.S. Robinson Co.
In addition to financial, retirement and estate planning, we can help with home and auto insurance; insurance for business; health, dental and life insurance as well as short- and long-term disability insurance and other ancillary insurances.
We have 70 employees and have been voted a Best Place to Work in Maine in every year since 2012, the same year we received the Maine Governor's Award for Business Excellence.
We are proud to say that in 2014, we celebrated 25 years of employee ownership. In 2016, we marked 150 years in business. In 2017, we became 100% employee-owned.
