For the first time ever, Owls Head Transportation Museum will be lifting the hoods on all the historic vehicles in the collection, giving the public a rare, up-close look at their innerworkings. Don't miss your chance to see and learn about what makes these vehicles so remarkable – this is a program unlike any other! The first of three Open Hood events will be held Feb. 10. A lecture and STEM activities will accompany the event.

Alice Longfellow's 1913 Rolls Royce Silver Ghost
Join us as we explore the origins of one of the museum's most celebrated collection pieces, Alice Longfellow's 1913 Rolls Royce Silver Ghost. Beginning in the summer of 1913, recently discovered documents and research have revealed an epic journey of adventure, discovery, and war. Toby Stinson will lead a discussion on how Alice Longfellow and her Rolls Royce were caught in the middle of a changing world- and survived!
Throughout the day OHTM educators will be leading young learners in a special STEM activity. The activity for the event will feature robotics, and the Family STEM Center will be open throughout the day.
