Watts Hall Community Players aid AIO Energy Assistance Program
On Saturday, December 9, Watts Hall Community Players, in Thomaston, hosted Merry Mannequins, an Evergreen Extravaganza where 12 individuals or teams put all of their creative talents to work to build fabulous fashions out of evergreen boughs and chicken wire. At the end of the day the gowns were on display for a magical evening reception with all proceeds going to support AIO’s Energy Assistance Program.
The creators of the People’s Choice Award winner, staff and volunteers at the Thomaston Public Library, are pictured giving a check in the amount of $1,300 to AIO’s Joe Ryan. Caroline Ward-Nesbit, Head Librarian, on the left and Maryann Blaisdell, library volunteer, on the right are two members of the creative team that embellished the award winning gown entirely from pages of discarded books and old library cards.
