ROCKPORT — The Knox County Homeless Coalition (KCHC), an organization committed to combating homelessness, announces the appointment of Molly Feeney as Interim CEO, effective January 13, 2024.

“This decision follows extensive deliberations and discussions within the Executive Committee and Board, with a primary focus on maintaining the organization's ongoing stability and success during this period of transition,” said KCHC, in a news release.

KCHC continues: “Molly Feeney, who has consistently demonstrated her unwavering dedication to KCHC's mission, will assume this critical role for a six-month term. Her extensive experience and a proven track record of leadership, most recently as the organization's Chief Programs Officer for the past six years, make her the ideal choice for this interim position. Molly's profound understanding of KCHC's values, objectives, and operations further reaffirms her suitability for this role.”

As KCHC charts its course under Feeney's leadership, the organization remains steadfast in its commitment to its mission and will continue to uphold its high standards of excellence.

Knox County Homeless Coalition breaks cycles of poverty and homelessness through strengths-based programs and services, helping individuals and families achieve sustainable independence and providing the next generation the foundation for a hopeful future. Through collaboration and innovation, they seek to address the root causes of homelessness such as lack of affordable housing.  

Since opening its doors, KCHC has helped more than 2700 people and found permanent housing for nearly 1200. Nearly half of all those served are children and youth.
