Karen Bernadette Mills, obituary
ROCKPORT — Karen Bernadette Mills (Kvorjak), 76, passed away on September 16, 2024. Born in Rockland on February 12, 1948, to the late Paul J, Kvorjak and Florence M. Flaherty.
Karen was a woman of great compassion and dedication, attributes that defined her both personally and professionally.
A graduate of the University of Maine Augusta, Karen devoted her career to nursing, serving as a Registered Nurse until her retirement. Her caring nature extended well beyond her professional life; she was known for her time spent being outside doing yard work, and her innate ability to care for and nurture those around her.
Karen is lovingly remembered by her family, including her four brothers: Paul, Mike (and wife Rose), David, and Brian Kvorjak; her four sons: David, Matthew (and wife Robin), Patrick (and wife Stephanie), and Christopher (and wife Tracy) Mills; her eight grandchildren: Ezra, Henry, Ralph, Florence, Madison, Ryan, Miranda, and Marshell; and her three great-grandchildren: Alicia, Aubree, and Derrick.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Karen's gentle spirit and generous heart will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in her honor on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at 11 a.m., at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, with a graveside service to follow at Coughlin Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Burpee Carpenter & Hutchins Funeral Home in Rockland, Maine.
