Exhibitor applications being accepted for second Rockland Electrification Expo
ROCKLAND — The City of Rockland is accepting exhibitor applications for the second annual Rockland Electrification Expo, which will be held on Saturday, Sept. 14, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., at Harbor Park in Rockland. A rain date for the Expo has been selected for Sunday, September 15.
The Rockland Electrification Expo is a free, family-friendly, outdoor community event showcasing all things electric and energy-efficient. In 2023, the Electrification Expo drew hundreds of community members to Harbor Park to test ride e-bikes, test drive electric cars, and take trips around Rockland Harbor in electric boats.
“The 2023 Expo created a valuable opportunity for local businesses and organizations to connect with community members about their products and services, and generated sales for exhibitors,” said David Troup, City of Rockland Communications Manager, in a news release.
Hosted by the City’s electrification and energy efficiency outreach program Recharge Rockland, the 2024 Expo will feature all the EV, e-bike, e-boat, and e-tool demos that were enjoyed in 2023. This year, the Expo will also showcase home-efficiency technologies including heat pumps, renewable energy, and weatherization.
Any business or organization focused on electrification, energy efficiency, or renewable energy, should consider exhibiting at this year’s Expo.
“Exhibiting is free, fun, and a great way to share information with the community,” said Troup.
The deadline for exhibitor applications is Friday, August 16.
