Waldo County Sheriff’s Office welcomes two new deputies
BELFAST — Waldo County Sheriff Jeff Trafton officially welcomed new full-time deputies Andrew Mulligan and Casey McDonald at the agency’s monthly department meeting on April 27.
Mulligan hails from Massachusetts, where he graduated with a bachelor's degree from University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Following graduation, he worked for five years as a ranger in the National Park Service followed by several years as a deputy with a Sheriff's Office in Colorado.
A Waldo County native, McDonald graduated from Mount View High School in Thorndike, where she completed two years in the law enforcement program at the Waldo County Technical Center. She then graduated with her Associates in Criminal Justice, from Husson University .
In a press release, Trafton said, “We are proud to welcome both deputies Mulligan and McDonald to the Sheriff's Office and our community. Please say hello when you see them around the county.”
