CAMDEN —The 2015 Winterfest Committee is planning the First Annual Snow Plow Parade for Saturday, Feb. 7, at 5:30 p.m. in Camden. The Snow Plow Parade, to be held during Toboggan Nationals weekend, is a rare community event in celebration of those who keep the streets cleared and safe in the wintertime. The parade starts on Union Street at 5:30 p.m. and will end at 6:15 p.m. with a fireworks display over Camden Harbor.

The parade will include plows from the Town, fire engines from surrounding towns, and private plows and floats. As sponsor, Fisher Engineering is helping to support the First Annual Snow Plow Parade, and will have at least four plows in the parade. Any plow vehicle or winter-themed float is welcome.

Participants may sign up by contacting the Chamber of Commerce at 236-4404 or by downloading the application here

Participants will be lining up on Union Street at 5 p.m.

There is no cost to submit a float (preferably a snow plow float, according to a news release). To register as a participant, complete and return the registration form.  All drivers must sign and turn in the entry form to participate in the parade. The form may be faxed or emailed in, or dropped off at the Chamber office on the Camden Public Landing.
