Reindeer run through the city for Toys for Tots
ROCKLAND — The streets of Rockland were full of Reindeer Sunday morning as the Reindeer 4-miler road race for Toys for Tots was held with 46 runners and walkers out for an enjoyable December day.
Theo Emery was the race winner with a time of 22:56.5. Jala Tooley was the first female with a time of 26:51.2. Finn Emery was the youngest to finish the race with a time of 34:02.8. Art Warren was the elder of the runners at the age of 80 finished 30th with a time of 40:06.0. Colin Stewart won the best holiday dress award.
The cost for the race was $15 with a donation of a new, unwrapped toy, or $20 without a toy. Toys for Tots is a program that is run by a 100 percent volunteer group of the United States Marines. They work all overt country to bring Christmas to the neediest of children right n your neighborhood.
