Marjorie Clark, obituary
Thomaston — Marjorie L. Clark, 76, a resident of the Knox Hotel Apartments, passed away on Feb., 24, 2016, peacefully at home. Born in Union on Feb. 9, 1940, to parents Laurin and Daisy Clark of Appleton, she was a 1958 graduate of Appleton High School and spent more than 20 years in New London and Norwich, Conn.
Returning to Maine in 1981, she successfully completed a course of study to become a certified nursing assistant and was employed in the area's nursing homes.
"Margie," as she was known, enjoyed reading, yard sales, country music (especially fiddle tunes) and her family. Never one to miss making friends with a dog – Marge was always known to carry dog treats with her.
She was predeceased by her parents; her brothers, Andrew and John; a sister-in-law, Joan Clark Stover; a brother-in-law, Roland Wiley; and a niece, Ginger.
Left to cherish Marge's memory are her son, James Boguszewski of Swanville; her daughter, Nina Clark and her companion, William Cassens, of Rockland; and her sister, Audrey Wiley of Appleton. She is also survived by her granddaughter, Amanda Shorey; and great-grandson, Andrew of Orrington; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Marge had the pleasure of two special friends in her life, Scott and Kevin; and her "bestie" cat, Sheba.
A private burial will be held at the convenience of the family in the spring, when Margie will be laid to rest beside her parents in Clark Cemetery in Appleton.
Hall's of Waldoboro has care of the arrangements.
