Maine Democratic Party names Kate McClelland as new outreach director
AUGUSTA — The Maine Democratic Party, headquartered on Water Street in Augusta, said it now has the financial resources to hire a permanent organizing and outreach director, and with that, has appointed Kate McClellan, of Rockport, for the job.
In a March 9 email, the party said: “We received an overwhelming amount of feedback telling us that the Maine Dems needed a grassroots organizer on the ground year round, not just during election season. We needed someone who could build and strengthen relationships, organize our communities, and coordinate efforts to support the fantastic resistance work happening across the state.”
McClellan, a native of Rockport, previously worked as an organizer in Iowa and Colorado.
