ROCKPORT — Commuters along Route 1 near the Camden and Rockport town line were greeted with the news this morning that Hooters had arrived to Rockport. A giant sign had popped up overnight, proclaiming it to be true.

We checked inside the business, and there was no sign of bright orange short-shorts or buckets of hot wings.

What we did see were giddy Adventure Advertising staffers busily making signage and banners, all wearing custom T-shirts with an owl and the word "Fools" blended in.

Be careful if you decide to check it out for yourself, you may be asked to apply for a job — like we were.
