OWLS HEAD – Ethel M. Rezendes, 85, died Tuesday, October 10, 2017, at Quarry Hill in Camden, where she resided the past five years.

Born in Massachusetts, July 25, 1932, she was the daughter of Raymond G. and Electa Raye Dennis. While growing up in Owls Head, she attended Ash Point School and later Rockland schools.
For most of her working career, Ethel worked as a waitress at several area restaurants, and worked seasonally in area fish processing plants.

She always had a smile regardless of the difficulties life brought her way. She loved her children and little dogs. She also enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and watching television.

Other than her parents, Ethel was predeceased by her son, Robert Huff; her daughter, Brenda Leino; three siblings, Robert Dennis, Margaret Philbrook and Rae Wood. She is survived by her daughter, Launa M. McNeilly and her husband Marc of Owls Head; her sister, Edith Darling of Stamford, CT; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as several extended family members.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, October 16, 2017, at Burpee, Carpenter & Hutchins Funeral Home, 110 Limerock Street, Rockland. Private interment will be in Ash Point Cemetery, Owls Head. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Bob Gagnon Cancer Care Fund, C/O PenBay Healthcare Foundation, 22 White Street, Rockland.
