Car, UPS delivery truck collide at Rockland intersection
ROCKLAND — A two vehicle crash Nov. 17 around 9:55 a.m. at the intersection of Brewster and Cedar Streets sent one driver to the hospital.
According to Rockland Deputy Police Chief Chris Young, Anita Pease, 70, of Rockland, was driving a black 2008 Dodge Caliber while traveling south on Brewster Street and failed to stop at the stop sign at the intersection of Brewster and Cedar streets. Pease then struck a UPS delivery truck driven by Devin Fairfield, 29, of Rockland, who was traveling west on Cedar Street.
Pease was transported by Rockland EMS to Pen Bay Medical Center in Rockport with non-life-threatening injuries. She was treated and later released. Fairfield did not sustain any injuries in the crash, according to Young.
The vehicle driven by Pease was towed from the accident scene. Police did not confirm the extent of the damage to the UPS delivery truck, although it was not towed away following the collision.
Rockland Fire and Police also responded to the crash scene.
