Spring has arrived, and with warmer weather and the excitement of returning to outdoor activities, Camden is debuting a new tour of the Chestnut Street Historic District.

The walking tour, which is a result of a two-year project by the Camden Historic Resources Committee, winds through picturesque neighborhood streets and along the harbor. It highlights landmarks and homes that tell the fascinating stories of people, architecture, and a developing town.

The approximate 1.5 hour stroll will be led by a local guide who will distribute a new printed map of the tour.

The event is part of Jane’s Walk, an annual festival that takes place in hundreds of cities around the world that encourages people to share stories about their neighborhoods and use walking as a way to connect with their community.

Put on comfortable shoes and be ready to explore Camden’s unique setting and history. No registration is necessary, just meet the guide at Camden’s Village Green on Saturday, May 4, at 10 a.m.
