Brave souls run the Thomas F. Chester Memorial Frozen 5k
NORTHPORT – The temperature said 33 degrees at the start of the race, but with the wind, not one runner at the Thomas F. Chester Memorial Frozen 5K would believe you.
However, 57 brave souls battled a tough course and the cold to participate.
Thor Emery of Camden won the race with a time of 20:17. The first female was Amy Root of Hope with a time of 22:47 and good for ninth place overall.
