CAMDEN — Wild Maine, a partnership between the Center for Wildlife Studies and the Camden Public Library, continues this spring with a presentation by Dr. Phillip deMaynadier about the biology and conservation of Maine’s butterflies.

“Keeping Track of Scaled Jewels: The Biology and Conservation of Maine’s Butterflies” will take place Tuesday, April 23, at 6:30 p.m., in the Picker Room and via Zoom.

Dr. Phillip deMaynadier is a wildlife biologist for Maine’s Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife (MDIFW) where he leads the Wildlife Diversity Section. He has authored over 50 scientific publications, is active on numerous state and national wildlife technical committees, and serves on the Graduate Faculty at University of Maine’s Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Conservation Biology. He was also the Co-coordinator of the Maine Butterfly Survey.
