UNION — Kristen S. Jacobsen, 84, died unexpectedly at home, Thursday, April 4, 2024 following a brief period of declining health.

Mr. Jacobsen was born in Brooklyn, New York to parents Kristen and Margaret (Olsen) Jacobsen. A veteran of the US Navy, he went to work for American Airlines after being honorably discharged from the service. He retired from American Airlines after 27 years as a customer service agent in JFK, La Guardia and finally Dallas/Fort Worth airport.

Most recently, Mr. Jacobsen has enjoyed the quiet life with his beloved wife, Peggy, at their home in Union. 

He will be sadly missed by all who loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings and daughter Susan.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy-Joyce Jacobsen of Union; two sons, Kristen R. Jacobsen and Eric Jacobsen, both of Texas; a step-daughter, Nicole Prentiss and her husband Richard of South Thomaston, Maine; Doug Levasseur and his wife Michaela of Georgia; David Levasseur and his wife Traci of California; and Sharon Levasseur of Virginia; 11 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

In keeping with Mr. Jacobsen’s wishes, his family will remember his life privately.
